Kuwait city: Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announced that one of its power generation and water distillation plants was attacked due to Iranian aggression against Kuwait. The attack resulted in damage to the plant's facilities, initiated a fire, and affected a significant number of electricity generation units. This prompted the activation of emergency plans to manage the impact and maintain grid stability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ministry issued a statement via the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) indicating that the Kuwait Fire Force teams managed to control the fire. Meanwhile, the ministry's emergency and technical teams, in coordination with relevant authorities, began assessing the damage, securing the plant, and working to restore the affected units to service swiftly.
The ministry emphasized that technical teams are working around the clock to ensure the stability of the power grid, provide uninterrupted service, and monitor the network to alleviate any potential impact.
