Latifa bint Mohammed Engages Creative Sector Leaders to Enhance Economy’s Resilience


Dubai: H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), met with key representatives from across Dubai’s cultural and creative ecosystem during the ‘Creative Sector Resilience’ workshop organised by Dubai Culture in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation. Held at Etihad Museum, the session brought together leaders from cultural and heritage entities, arts and creative organisations, event and programme stakeholders, as well as supporting service providers.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed emphasized the importance of unity and shared responsibility within the sector. She highlighted the resilience of Dubai’s creative industry, attributing its strength to the people and their ability to maintain momentum even during uncertain times. The meeting was part of ongoing efforts to ensure sector continuity and preparedness, focusing on safeguarding and investing in the creative economy’s future.



Hala Badri, Director-General of Dubai Culture, echoed the sentiment of adaptability as a cornerstone of Dubai’s approach to culture. She noted that the workshop is part of the Authority’s initiatives to develop innovative frameworks and actionable solutions to enhance sector readiness. The dialogue initiated during the workshop aims to translate into practical steps for continuity, performance strengthening, and long-term growth.



Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, highlighted the role of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed’s support in driving creativity and innovation. He stated that the workshop aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to collaborate with stakeholders to bolster the sector’s readiness for future changes and to explore new opportunities, particularly in the context of technological advancements.



The session included discussions on understanding the current operating environment, short-term action plans, and scenario pathways for informed decision-making and sustained sector resilience. The outcomes will contribute to a sector readiness brief and coordinated action plan, addressing both immediate and long-term strategic needs of Dubai’s cultural and creative industries.
