Beirut: President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph Aoun, condemned the Israeli attack on Beirut's southern suburbs this evening. "The United States and France, as guarantors of the cessation of hostilities agreement, must assume their responsibilities and compel Israel to immediately cease its attacks," said President Aoun in a statement, carried by the National News Agency. According to Emirates News Agency, President Aoun warned that "Israel's continued undermining of stability will exacerbate tensions and expose the region to real dangers that threaten its security and stability." Prime Minister Nawaf Salam also voiced condemnation of Israel's ongoing assaults on Lebanon, highlighting the impact on civilians who are eager to return to normal life. The Prime Minister called upon the countries sponsoring the security arrangements agreement to take action to halt these attacks and to expedite Israel's full withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
