Lee Jae-myung Elected as New President of Republic of Korea

Seoul: The Liberal Democratic Party presidential candidate Lee Jae-myung was elected President of the Republic of Korea on Wednesday.

According to Emirates News Agency, Lee secured the presidency by garnering 49.42 percent of the vote. His closest competitor, Kim Moon-soo from the conservative People Power Party, received 41.15 percent of the votes. This election marks a significant moment in South Korean politics as Lee takes the helm of the country's leadership.
