Abu dhabi: M42, the global health leader driven by artificial intelligence, technology, and genomics, has announced a collaboration with the Medical Tourism Association (MTA) and Mastercard to broaden the access to the UAE’s healthcare system.
According to Emirates News Agency, this collaboration will see M42’s leading facilities featured on MTA’s flagship platform, ‘Better by MTA’. Developed with Mastercard, the platform aims to simplify travel, payment, and care planning for international patients seeking treatment in the UAE. As global demand for medical tourism grows, the UAE strengthens its position as a top destination for advanced healthcare, with Abu Dhabi ranked 9th globally in the Medical Tourism Index.
The partnership allows international patients streamlined access to M42’s network of healthcare facilities. MTA focuses on eliminating barriers to affordable, transparent, and quality healthcare worldwide through the ‘Better by MTA’ platform. This initiative addresses patient concerns about financing and cross-border healthcare logistics, easing issues like payment security.
Prominent M42 facilities, such as Healthpoint and the Imperial College London Diabetes and Endocrine Centre, will be featured on the platform, accessible to Mastercard users worldwide. The platform enhances patient confidence by simplifying international healthcare experiences, offering secure transactions, logistical support, and end-to-end assistance, tackling common challenges like financial and system navigation complexities.
Connecting approximately 1.3 million healthcare seekers annually, the platform aims to reach 2 to 3 million by 2025. With a strategic location, the UAE provides global patients easy access to its advanced healthcare facilities, with one-third of the world’s population within four hours and two-thirds within eight hours of travel.
