Abu Dhabi: The Authority of Social Contribution - Ma'an, the Abu Dhabi Government's official channel for social contributions, has announced the release of its community contribution report for 2024. The report transparently outlines the impact of 51 social projects supported by the Authority, aimed at advancing Abu Dhabi's social development.
According to Emirates News Agency, funding over the past year was directed to key social partners, including the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, Mubadala Foundation, and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. These partners launched initiatives across social, health, education, environment, and infrastructure sectors to address critical needs in Abu Dhabi.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma'an, emphasized the Authority's role in community engagement and fostering a culture of giving. He highlighted the increase in community contributions as evidence of Ma'an's commitment to building a collaborative community.
Faisal Al Hmoudi, Social Investment Fund Executive Director at Ma'an, reiterated the dedication to channeling contributions towards partner-led projects that promote community development and inclusivity. The Authority remains focused on partnerships that amplify the impact of social projects, fostering shared responsibility and community giving.
The report detailed the allocation of AED98.6 million across several sectors, benefiting various community groups. The health sector received AED36.8 million for nine projects, while the social sector was allocated AED33.6 million for 26 projects. The education sector received AED20 million for eight projects, and AED8.2 million was dedicated to the environment and infrastructure sector for eight projects.
Additionally, Ma'an raised AED2.7 million through various platforms, benefiting multiple community groups. The Authority connects government, private entities, social enterprises, and non-profits to support societal priorities and facilitate corporate social responsibility goals.
Ma'an is committed to fostering a culture of giving and actively engages community members in funding projects that drive social development. Contributions can be made via their website, mobile app, or through traditional banking methods.
