Naples: A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck the Campi Flegrei area west of Naples in southern Italy on Friday, causing power outages, disrupting train and metro services, and damaging several buildings.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reported that the earthquake was recorded at 19:46 (17:46 GMT). The epicentre was located in the Campi Flegrei area at a depth of approximately three kilometres. The impact of the tremor led to interruptions in public transportation and affected the power supply in the region. Damage to several structures was also reported following the seismic activity.
