Magnitude 5.7 Earthquake Strikes Papua New Guinea


Abu Dhabi: A magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on Monday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said. The quake was recorded at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles).



According to Emirates News Agency, the seismic event was reported by the EMSC, which monitored and recorded the earthquake’s characteristics as it impacted the region. The report detailed the earthquake’s magnitude and depth, providing crucial information for understanding the potential impact and necessary response measures.
