MAKHZOUMI: WE HOPE THAT THE TRUCE WILL TURN INTO A PERMANENT CEASEFIRE

The head of the National Dialogue Party, MP Fouad Makhzoumi, affirmed that 'the temporary truce that was reached in Gaza is good and required,' hoping that it will turn into a permanent ceasefire. He also hoped that it will be followed by the lifting of the siege on the Gaza Strip, and the entry of humanitarian and medical aid to the Palestinian people. He said: 'The experience of the truce must constitute an opportunity to stop the war completely and launch the search for a comprehensive and lasting peace decision, in accordance with the King Abdullah Initiative, the Arab initiative approved by the summit held in Beirut in 2002."
