Mansoor Bin Mohammed and Latifa Bint Mohammed Honour Influencers at Arab Social Media Awards

Dubai: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee, and H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, honoured the winners of the 5th edition of the Arab Social Media Influencers Award. The awards ceremony was part of the Arab Social Media Influencers Summit, concluding today at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the ceremony, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor honoured Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President, who was named 'Influential Personality of the Year' for his role in supporting balanced media discourse and enhancing the UAE's and the Arab world's international standing. The ceremony also revealed winners and content creators who have had a positive influence on Arab communities.

The awards were determined through a meticulous judging process evaluating the societal impact and innovation of the nominees on various social media platforms. The event was attended by media professionals, influencers, digital platform representatives, and decision-makers in the field of new media.

The Ta'allam Ma' Zakaria (Learn with Zakaria) platform was awarded Best Children's Platform for its engaging Arabic-language educational content. Mohammed Al Nofli from Oman was honoured in the Sports category for his inspirational content that motivates youth towards an active lifestyle. The Blinx platform received the Best News Platform award for its innovative news content aimed at younger audiences.

In the Entrepreneurship category, Ahmed Al-Zamel from Kuwait was recognised for his initiatives in youth empowerment within innovation and investment. Ahmed Al Marzouqi from the UAE won in the Economics category for his engaging financial content. Omar Farouq from Bahrain was celebrated in the Tourism category for his content highlighting diverse cultures and travel experiences.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed, alongside Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council, honoured Bibi Al-Khudhari from Kuwait in the Community category for her efforts in promoting humanitarian solidarity. Dr. Talal Al-Muhaisin from Kuwait and Anas Bukhash from the UAE were awarded in the Health and Podcast categories, respectively. The Shahid platform from Saudi Arabia received the Arts and Entertainment award, and Ahmed Al Nasheet from Bahrain was recognised in the Culture category.

At the ceremony's conclusion, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor joined the winners for a commemorative photo. Mona Ghanem Al Marri congratulated the winners and praised their creative efforts, noting the award embodies Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision of using digital media as a developmental tool to promote positivity and social responsibility.

The award seeks to strengthen the societal impact of digital content, encourage Arab youth to channel constructive ideas, and create models of socially responsible social media outreach. This edition introduced new categories, including Economy, Podcast, Best News Platform, and Best Children's Platform, alongside existing categories.

The award continues to adapt to advancements in digital technology and content creation, encouraging influencers to focus on impactful ideas that benefit communities across various fields.
