Mansoor Bin Mohammed Reviews Preparations for Inaugural ‘World Sports Summit’ During DSC Board Meeting

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, has affirmed that the World Sports Summit being organised by the Dubai Sports Council adds a new page to Dubai's sporting calendar that embodies the emirate's unwavering commitment to helping build a better future for humanity. According to Emirates News Agency, the event is organised under the directives and patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai. The event will be held at the Madinat Jumeirah on 29 and 30 December under the slogan 'Uniting the World Through Sports.' The inaugural edition of the event is set to be a global platform, bringing together more than 1,500 attendees, including international sporting stars, sports sector leaders, decision-makers, and representatives of international sports federations and organisations. H.H. Sheikh Mansoor, wh ile chairing a meeting of the Dubai Sports Council's Board of Directors, expressed confidence that the new platform would foster global unity. He noted Dubai's approach to hosting global platforms across various fields and emphasized the summit's role in promoting sports as a positive force. Also present at the meeting was Khalfan Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, along with Board of Directors members Ali Al Mutawa, Ahmed Al Khaja, Ismail Al Hashemi, and Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the DSC. H.H. Sheikh Mansoor reviewed preparations for hosting the first edition of the World Sports Summit, highlighting Dubai's efforts to offer a unifying platform for global dialogue in shaping the future of sports. H.H. Sheikh Mansoor remarked that the World Sports Summit marks the culmination of a phase of institutional work and achievements in the sports sectors of the UAE and the region. He stated that it represents the beginning of a new phase for sports development, uniting international efforts to advance this vital sector. He added that the summit will serve as a global platform for leaders and decision-makers to discuss the current state of sports and its future trajectories, focusing on governance, athlete performance, training systems, infrastructure, talent nurturing, and the use of artificial intelligence in sports. Inspecting the preparations for the summit, H.H. Sheikh Mansoor commended the efforts of the organising teams and assured them of Dubai's readiness to host the global event, owing to its infrastructure and organisational capabilities. It was announced during the meeting that all organisational arrangements for the summit are in place, including those for receiving distinguished speakers and guests before the formal opening, as well as their participation in accompanying events and activities by the Dubai Sports Council.
