Mansour bin Zayed Chairs Financial Stability Council’s 2025 Meeting

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, chaired the second meeting of the Financial Stability Council's Board of 2025. This meeting was part of the UAE Government Annual Meetings held in Abu Dhabi.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed commended the Council for its efforts to enhance the UAE's financial system's strength and improve coordination among relevant authorities. He emphasized that the UAE's national economy is well-equipped to face challenges due to the wise leadership, balanced policies, and robust financial infrastructure.

Sheikh Mansour highlighted the importance of financial stability as a fundamental factor in supporting sustainable growth, economic diversification, and enhancing the UAE's global competitiveness. The meeting's attendees reviewed key agenda topics, including regional and international economic developments and their impact on financial stability in the UAE. Discussions also covered technical and innovative initiatives aimed at reinforcing the UAE's global leadership position.

The Council assessed the local and global financial stability report for the first nine months of 2025, which demonstrated the financial system's resilience against global challenges. Additionally, the meeting evaluated the progress of the Technical Advisory Committee and taskforces within the Council and the implementation of its mandates.

The meeting included several Board members, such as Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs; Khaled Mohamed Balama, Governor of the Central Bank of the UAE; Ahmed Jasim Alzaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Global Market; Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance; Ebrahim Obaid Al Zaabi, Assistant Governor for Monetary Policy and Financial Stability at the CBUAE; and Ibraheem Al Sayed Mohamed Al Hashemi, Assistant Governor and Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the CBUAE, among other officials.
