Mansour Bin Zayed Chairs Ministerial Development Council Meeting to Accelerate National Initiatives

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Ministerial Development Council, chaired a high-level meeting with ministers and senior officials from federal and local government entities across the UAE. This meeting marked his first as the head of the Ministerial Development Council and was held during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025.

According to Emirates News Agency, officials at the Ministerial Development Council meeting discussed joint national projects spanning various sectors. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed praised the UAE government teams for their efforts in supporting national initiatives and programmes. He emphasized the importance of government efforts in achieving national goals, advancing sustainable development, and maintaining the UAE's position in global competitiveness indicators.

Sheikh Mansour highlighted the need for aligning government projects with the nation's priorities to improve service quality and enhance the UAE's efficiency and competitiveness. He commended all entities, private sector institutions, and community members for their role in implementing national policies and achieving targets across all sectors.

The meeting focused on key areas such as roads and infrastructure, traffic congestion, energy, ease of doing business, and the empowerment of Emirati talent in the labor market. Discussions also covered challenges facing these sectors and opportunities for joint projects and initiatives to address them.

Ministers and officials examined priority government requirements that need attention through enhanced coordination. The agenda included discussions on outcomes of studies in the fields of economy, investment, and industry, as well as draft regulatory decisions in areas like environmental preservation, e-commerce, and traffic regulation.

Officials also reviewed the UAE's participation in international events, including the 2025 G20 Labour and Employment Ministers' Meeting and the World Bank Group's Business Enabling Environment Report.
