Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, convened with the graduates of the second and third cohorts of the UAE National Experts Programme during the UAE Government Annual Meetings in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mansour expressed his satisfaction in meeting the national talents, highlighting their role as representatives of the new generation's ambition and dedication to national service. He affirmed that the programme's graduates embody the leadership's vision of preparing Emirati professionals for pivotal roles in the nation's future across essential sectors.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mansour emphasized the importance of investing in Emirati youth, stating it as a fundamental element of the UAE's pursuit of development under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He acknowledged the National Experts Programme as a distinctive platform for nurturing specialists poised to drive national development and contribute to key sectors.
In an open dialogue, H.H. Sheikh Mansour engaged with the graduates, gathering insights from their experiences and discussing potential enhancements to their contributions towards government innovation and national development projects. He reiterated the importance of youth in the UAE's progress, encouraging graduates to work collaboratively and apply their knowledge and skills in initiatives that benefit the nation and society.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mansour launched the 'UAE Experts in Artificial Intelligence Programme,' a national initiative aimed at developing AI specialists to bolster the UAE's global leadership in the field. The 12-month programme aims to train 100 AI experts over five years through academic and practical experiences, including international field visits.
Ahmed Talib Al Shamsi, Director of the National Experts Programme, provided an overview of the programme's progress, emphasizing its role in creating a diverse pool of Emirati advisors to drive sustainable development. He highlighted key projects in sectors like economic and social development, sustainability, and infrastructure, describing the programme as a national platform for cultivating Emirati experts capable of devising innovative solutions for current and future challenges.
The meeting gathered 40 Emirati experts from 23 national sectors, focusing on academic learning, mentorship, practical experience, and leadership projects to enhance national expertise and skills in management, analytical thinking, and decision-making.
