Abu dhabi: Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) recently hosted the third edition of its Mailis programme, a community engagement initiative aimed at exploring artificial intelligence's role in the evolution of the workplace. The event convened entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators under the theme 'ROI Redefined: Return on Innovation'.
According to Emirates News Agency, the session attracted key figures from the government, business, and startup sectors in Abu Dhabi. Discussions focused on how AI is reshaping the workplace, empowering startups, and enhancing the UAE's innovation ecosystem. Rawdha Almeraikhi, Director of Outreach at MBZUAI, emphasized AI's potential as a partner that enhances human creativity and problem-solving capabilities. She noted that the Mailis programme aligns with the UAE's Year of Community, aiming to foster collaborations that will define the nation's AI-driven future.
Representatives from organizations such as Khalifa Fund, Hub71, ADIO, and Abu Dhabi Chamber shared insights into their AI integration initiatives, which are central to Abu Dhabi's ambition to be a global innovation leader. Experts from Edulga, Hub71, and MEVP discussed the critical role of capital, talent, and collaboration in enabling startups to flourish, with MBZUAI facilitating these exchanges.
Stellr Studios contributed to the discourse with a presentation on Designing for Intelligence, addressing organizational challenges like scattered data and misaligned workflows, and advocating for the integration of intelligent systems across all operational levels.
Highlighting AI's potential, MBZUAI's Incubation and Entrepreneurship Center demonstrated three innovative AI tools. A live challenge showcased AI's capacity to directly enhance business decision-making processes.
The programme concluded with a Q and A session, offering participants a chance to delve into AI's potential to drive growth and innovation in their respective fields.
