Abu dhabi: Micron Technology announced its plans on Thursday to invest $10 billion over the next ten years in a newly established research lab in Boise, Idaho. This initiative aims to advance memory technologies, develop compute systems, and support future chip manufacturing.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Micron Research Labs will bring together customers, academia, government, and the broader semiconductor ecosystem to pursue technological breakthroughs. This ambitious project is part of Micron's broader strategy to enhance its research and development capabilities.
The latest investment builds on the company's prior commitment of more than $250 billion in manufacturing and R and D efforts across the United States.
