Middle Eastern and Asian Nations Join Peace Initiative Led by President Trump

Abu dhabi: The Foreign Ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Trkiye, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar have collectively announced their decision to join the Board of Peace, following an invitation from U.S. President Donald J. Trump. This initiative aims to address the ongoing conflict in Gaza and promote regional stability. According to Emirates News Agency, the participating countries have pledged to complete the necessary legal and procedural steps required for joining the Board of Peace. Egypt, Pakistan, and the UAE have already made official announcements of their intent to join. The ministers emphasized their countries' commitment to supporting President Trump's peace efforts and the broader mission of the Board of Peace. The joint statement underscored the countries' dedication to the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, endorsed by United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803. This plan focuses on establishing a permanent ceasefire, aiding in the reconstruction of Gaza, and advocating for a just and lasting peace that respects the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood. The initiative is seen as a crucial step towards ensuring security and stability for the region's countries and peoples.
