Caretaker Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, on Tuesday held several important meetings at the Grand Serail. The PM had an audience with Finance Minister, Youssef Khalil, Director General George Maarawi, and advisor Nicolas Nahas, with whom he discussed financial, economic issues, and budgetary concerns. Mikati then met with Culture Minister Mohammad Wissam Al-Mortada to address ministry affairs, followed by a meeting with Minister of the Displaced Issam Charafeddine. In another key meeting, Mikati welcomed Dr. Bassam Badran, President of the Lebanese University, and Dr. Antoine Charbel, head of the professors' association. Dr. Badran invited Mikati to the July 11 inauguration of the "Computers and iPads Factory" in partnership with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization. He also highlighted the university's top rankings in the QS 2025 for professional and academic reputation in Lebanon, and discussed the university's needs for the upcoming academic year.
