Abu Dhabi: Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi met with a delegation from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), led by Jo Dedeyne-Amann, Secretary of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice and UNODC Representative. The meeting took place on Tuesday at the Ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions were centered on the coordination and cooperation required for the upcoming 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which is scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi in April 2026.
Minister Al Nuaimi emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts and enhancing international collaboration to tackle organized crime and drug-related issues. He highlighted the need to align with international standards and uphold the principles of human rights in these initiatives.
