MoFA Launches Enhanced Digital Issuance and Attestation of ‘To Whom It May Concern’ Certificates

Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new digital service for the issuance and attestation of 'To Whom It May Concern' certificates. This initiative is part of the second phase of the Government's Zero Bureaucracy Programme and aligns with the UAE's efforts to enhance government services. It allows transactions to be completed in just three steps through a single digital platform, eliminating the need for in-person visits to missions.

According to Emirates News Agency, Omar Obaid AlHesan AlShamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the new 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate Issuance and Attestation service demonstrates the Ministry's commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions. These solutions support the government's push for digital transformation, leverage advanced technologies, and aim for sustainable development in government services. The service integrates multiple processes into a unified procedure, reducing processing times and ensuring efficient service delivery.

The service enables UAE nationals abroad to obtain a digitally attested 'To Whom It May Concern' certificate, such as those needed for treatment or study abroad, through the Ministry's official website or smart application. This new process removes the necessity to visit UAE missions overseas or undergo traditional procedures. Additionally, UAE nationals can access technical support or make inquiries about the service at any time through the Ministry's Contact Centre at: +971 800 44444.
