Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued a call for all users of its eDAS system, which is used for attesting commercial invoices and certificates of origin, to fully transition to the upgraded eDAS 2.0 version. This move follows the decommissioning of the previous eDAS 1.0, effective today, June 8, 2026.
According to Emirates News Agency, the shift to eDAS 2.0 is part of MoFA's ongoing commitment to enhancing customer experience and advancing its digital ecosystem. This transition is in line with the ministry's efforts towards supporting digital transformation.
The upgrade to eDAS 2.0 aligns with the objectives of the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. This initiative aims to streamline procedures, reduce processing time and effort, and minimize the number of fields and steps required for service access.
