Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award Launches 10th Edition During Cairo International Book Fair 2026

Cairo: The Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award has declared its participation in the 57th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair, set to take place from 21st January to 3rd February, 2026, at the Egypt International Exhibitions Center. The involvement demonstrates the Award's ongoing mission to bolster the Arabic language's presence across prominent cultural and knowledge platforms and support initiatives that promote its use in education, scientific research, and knowledge production.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Award aims to present its mission, strategic objectives, and primary focus areas during the fair, enhancing Arabic as a language of knowledge, creativity, and cultural exchange. It seeks to increase engagement with intellectuals, publishers, and researchers while exploring opportunities for cooperation with academic and cultural institutions.

The participation aligns with the launch of the 10th edition of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, themed "10 Editions: One Enduring Legacy." This marks a decade of continuous efforts to support Arabic as a dynamic and evolving language of innovation and knowledge.

Bilal Al Budoor, Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Arabic Language Award, stated that the participation shows the Award's openness to various cultural platforms and its dedication to engaging with a wide range of Arabic language stakeholders. He highlighted that the initiatives launched in this field, guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, have strengthened the Arabic language's status across education, media, publishing, technology, and artificial intelligence.

Al Budoor further mentioned that nominations for the 10th edition are now open to individuals and institutions worldwide, with submissions accepted until February 2026 through the Award's digital platform. The Award's categories encompass education, scientific research, media, publishing, technology, and artificial intelligence, with submissions evaluated on originality, quality, and sustainable impact. Since its inception, the Award has received more than 17,200 submissions globally and recognized 90 winners, underscoring its role as a leading international platform supporting the Arabic language.
