Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, honoured six winners of the Great Arab Minds 2025 edition at the Museum of the Future in Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Great Arab Minds initiative is the largest Arab program committed to recognizing outstanding Arab achievements and contributions to human civilization. The initiative supports scientific and knowledge-based endeavors and showcases the creative impact of Arab talent both regionally and globally.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that the initiative is designed to nurture and invest in Arab talent, recognizing achievements across research, development, innovation, technology, culture, and architecture. He reinforced the importance of fostering a culture of pride and support for Arab individuals who inspire significant progress in key fields.
Sheikh Mohammed stated, "Today, we honour Great Arab Minds in recognition of achievements that advance civilization and build societies. From the Museum of the Future in Dubai, we reaffirm our support for Arab talent committed to innovation, creativity, and excellence."
He announced the winners in various categories: Professor Abbas El Gamal in Engineering and Technology, Dr. Nabil Seidah in Medicine, Professor Badi Hani in Economics, Professor Majed Chergui in Natural Sciences, Dr. Suad Amiry in Architecture and Design, and Professor Charbel Dagher in Literature and Arts. His Highness encouraged them to continue their journey of achievement and serve as role models for younger generations across the region.
The awards ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, among others.
Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chair of the Higher Committee for the Great Arab Minds initiative, highlighted the initiative's role in empowering talent and encouraging contributions to Arab intellectual and scientific progress. He emphasized Sheikh Mohammed's vision to inspire confidence in Arab capabilities and motivate individuals to shape their societies and the region's future.
The initiative, known as the 'Arab Nobel,' continues to recognize distinguished Arab achievements and extraordinary contributions that reflect the region's historic role in advancing knowledge globally. The program celebrates Arab creators and serves as a reference point for promising Arab talent, inspiring young people and expanding Arab participation in global knowledge and civilizational advancement.
