Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with Sergio Mattarella, President of the Italian Republic, at Zabeel Palace. The Italian President is on an official visit to the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the robust and longstanding relationship between the UAE and Italy, noting its growth across various sectors in line with the shared vision of both nations’ leaderships. The meeting underscored the UAE’s commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and economic ties in areas such as trade, investment, innovation, technology, and future industries.
The discussion also focused on strengthening cooperation in sectors of mutual interest, with both leaders exchanging views on regional and international developments. They emphasized the significance of dialogue and international cooperation to promote stability and sustainable development.
President Mattarella lauded the steady growth of relations between the two countries and praised the strength of their strategic partnership. He commended the UAE’s economic progress and reiterated Italy’s dedication to deepening cooperation.
The meeting was attended by key UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai; and several other prominent leaders and officials.
