Abu Dhabi: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, welcomed Lutfey Siddiqi, the Special Envoy to the Chief Adviser (Prime Minister) of the Government of Bangladesh, at his Majlis in Abu Dhabi. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to enhance the bilateral engagement between the United Arab Emirates and Bangladesh.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Nahyan praised the deep and strategic relations between the UAE and Bangladesh, originally established by the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He emphasized that these relations continue to grow under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who promotes a vision of openness, cooperation, and shared interests.
Sheikh Nahyan highlighted the remarkable progress in bilateral relations across various sectors, demonstrating a mutual desire to elevate the partnership to more impactful levels.
Lutfey Siddiqi expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and commended the UAE's role in supporting sustainable development globally, as well as its commitment to coexistence and cultural openness. He emphasized Bangladesh's interest in strengthening ties with the UAE and noted that his visit aims to expand practical cooperation for mutual benefit.
The meeting ended with a commitment from both sides to continue coordination and consultation on mutual interests and explore new avenues for strategic collaboration, aligning with their shared vision for peace, stability, and prosperity.
