Abu Dhabi:Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Patron of the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation (ADMAF), inaugurated the Middle East's first outdoor Children's Biennale at Umm Al Emarat Park. The event is part of the Abu Dhabi Festival 2026 and is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to Wam, the Biennale, which runs until 6 December, is also under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. The opening ceremony was attended by notable figures, including Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo, Founder of ADMAF, and ambassadors from China and Singapore, among others. The Biennale, themed "How the World Feels," invites the community to engage in art through installations, workshops, and family activities.
The event aims to foster cultural and artistic engagement, particularly among children, by transforming Umm Al Emarat Park into a creative space. Eight interactive installations explore various elements like touch, sound, and light. The Biennale reflects the UAE's commitment to nurturing future generations through culture and the arts, highlighting the role of the family in preserving national identity and values.
