Al ain: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, today visited the inaugural edition of the Al Ain International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition. The event, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, took place at the ADNEC Centre in Al Ain.
According to Emirates News Agency, the exhibition saw significant participation from leading local and international companies specializing in the hunting and equestrian sectors. Organized by ADNEC Group, a subsidiary of Modon, in collaboration with the Emirates Falconers Club, the exhibition serves as a global platform that combines the preservation of authentic Emirati heritage with innovations in hunting, equestrianism, and traditional sports.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak was accompanied by Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Group CEO of ADNEC Group, who provided insights into the prominent exhibitors and the latest technologies showcased at the event. The exhibition highlighted advancements in hunting, equestrian activities, and camping.
During his visit, Sheikh Nahyan met with several officials and decision-makers from participating local and international companies. He emphasized the importance of such events in bolstering Al Ain's reputation as a tourist, cultural, and heritage destination, particularly after its designation as the Gulf Tourism Capital for 2025.
Sheikh Nahyan stated that the exhibition reflects the UAE's vision of merging authenticity with innovation, underscoring the country's commitment to preserving its cultural heritage while embracing modern technologies and sustainable practices. He highlighted the exhibition as a space for cultural exchange and knowledge sharing, reinforcing the nation's values of tolerance and coexistence.
He further affirmed that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE continues to promote national heritage, identity, and innovation on a global scale. The exhibition's inaugural edition welcomed 873 exhibitors and brands from 12 countries within a 24,000 square meter area, with a notable 88 percent local participation. The event also featured over 20 live shows and heritage competitions, including a traditional cooking competition, Arabic coffee workshops, and the Al Yola performance, celebrating community engagement and authenticity.
