National Guard Commander Visits Jordanian Gendarmerie and Civil Defence to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Abu dhabi: Major General Staff Saleh Mohammed bin Mejren Al Ameri, Commander of the National Guard, led a delegation to visit the Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces of Jordan's Public Security Directorate, marking a significant event in his official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

According to Emirates News Agency, during the visit, Al Ameri assessed the roles and responsibilities of the Gendarmerie and Civil Defence forces, examining their operational capabilities, equipment, and comprehensive training and qualification programmes. In the presence of the Public Security Directorate's Director, Maj. Gen. Obeidallah Maaytah, he attended a field demonstration by the PSD units. The demonstration featured various scenarios and practical field exercises.

The National Guard Commander commended the units for their professionalism, efficiency, and readiness. He acknowledged their advanced capabilities and the robust training and qualification programmes that contribute to improved performance and quicker, more effective responses. Al Ameri emphasized the longstanding fraternal and strategic relations between the UAE and Jordan. He noted the strong support from both countries' leaderships and underscored the importance of enhancing partnerships and cooperation to advance mutual interests and bolster security and stability.
