Abu dhabi: The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold an extraordinary meeting of its Council of Foreign Ministers next Monday to discuss the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people. The meeting aims to coordinate positions and joint efforts to confront decisions and plans aimed at entrenching the occupation and complete Israeli control over the Gaza Strip, as well as the crimes of genocide, starvation, displacement, the Israeli blockade, and the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
According to Emirates News Agency, the urgent gathering will serve as a platform for member states to deliberate on effective responses to the escalating situation in the occupied territories. The focus will be on developing a unified stance against measures that exacerbate the humanitarian crisis and threaten regional stability. The OIC aims to address the challenges faced by Palestinians and advocate for international interventions to alleviate their suffering.
The meeting will also explore strategies to mobilize international support and pressure on Israel to cease actions that are considered violations of international law and human rights. The OIC's efforts underscore the need for a collaborative approach among Islamic nations to address the complex dynamics of the conflict and seek sustainable solutions for peace and security in the region.
