Olympus Launches Service Training Centre at Dubai Science Park

Dubai: Olympus, a global leader in medical technology, has opened its Middle East, Turkey, and Africa (META) Service Training Centre at Dubai Science Park, which is part of TECOM Group PJSC and the region's foremost science-focused ecosystem. This new centre represents an investment of AED3.7 million (US$1 million) and aims to support Olympus' partners across more than 33 countries in the META region.

According to Emirates News Agency, the facility leverages Dubai Science Park's infrastructure to provide comprehensive support and training for Olympus' partners. The company's regional hubs in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Asia-Pacific regions enable it to train technicians and support clients across various geographical locations.

The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Jun Imanishi, Consul-General of Japan in Dubai and the Northern Emirates; Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park; Ronald Boueri, Vice President and Managing Director of Olympus META; and Dr. Zeyad Al Moosa, Managing Director, Partner, and Board Member of GulfDrug LLC, along with other senior officials.

The facility in Dubai Science Park will offer hands-on product training, demonstrations, and technical workshops related to Olympus' medical and surgical equipment. It includes a state-of-the-art service and repair workshop, as well as a spare-parts warehouse, which enhances supply chains with Dubai as a central hub, providing essential support to regional hospitals and companies.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi emphasized the importance of establishing a physical presence in the region for businesses seeking sustainable growth. He noted that by opening this dedicated service training centre in Dubai Science Park, Olympus is showing its commitment to the region as a key element in its growth strategy.

Ronald Boueri remarked that the new facility enhances Olympus' ability to deliver exceptional service, technical expertise, and hands-on training to its partners across META. He highlighted that Dubai Science Park offers an ideal environment and infrastructure for Olympus to strengthen its presence and commitment to stakeholders in a network of businesses, innovators, and medical experts.

The service training facility features two fully equipped training rooms designed to train 150 engineers from partners in the META region, improving their technical capabilities and service quality standards. Dubai Science Park provides a cohesive ecosystem for over 6,500 professionals in the life, energy, and environmental science sectors.
