Oman Projects 3.4% Economic Growth for 2025

Muscat: Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, announced that Oman's GDP is projected to grow by 3.4% this year. This growth rate is set to surpass many global economies, reflecting the resilience of Oman's national economy and the confidence it inspires in international markets. According to Emirates News Agency, Al Yousef made these remarks during his opening speech at the Advantage Oman Forum held on April 27 in Muscat. He reported a 16.2% increase in foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows in the third quarter of 2024, compared to the same period in 2023. Furthermore, Oman's credit rating was upgraded to BBB- with a stable outlook by Standard and Poor's. The Advantage Oman Forum, organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, attracted over 250 distinguished participants, including senior officials, decision-makers, and investors from both regional and international arenas. This event underscores Oman's growing reputation as an attractive investment destination. Al Yousef highlighted that this forum is a pioneering strategic event for Oman, drawing influential decision-makers, business leaders, and investors from key sectors. The forum takes place amid significant economic and investment growth in Oman, buoyed by positive international indicators.
