Ethiopia's Tamirat Tola on Saturday won the gold medal in the men's marathon at Paris 2024 Olympics, setting new Olympic record of 2:06:26, six seconds faster then the previous record. Belgian Bashir Abdi came second in 2:06:47 to win the silver medal while the bronze medal went to Kenya's Benson Kipruto who finished in 2:07:00.
