Peace Homes Development Contributes AED5 Million to Edge of Life Campaign

Dubai: Peace Homes Development has announced its contribution of AED5 million to the Edge of Life campaign, which aims to rescue five million children from hunger. The campaign, initiated during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, seeks to raise at least AED1 billion to fund sustainable programmes targeting childhood hunger globally.

According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and encourages widespread community involvement to achieve its objectives. It invites both individuals and institutions to partake in the effort to save millions of children, fostering values of compassion, solidarity, and assistance to the most vulnerable.

The campaign, organized in collaboration with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger, continues to garner support. Ahsan Rasheed, Founder and CEO of Peace Homes Development, highlighted the inspiration drawn from UAE's values of giving and solidarity. He emphasized that their participation is part of a broader community movement aimed at creating a significant impact on children in underserved communities.

Rasheed also pointed out the urgent need to tackle the severe hunger threats facing children in vulnerable regions, asserting that saving a child equates to protecting an entire family and providing opportunities for growth and stability.
