Dubai: Peace Homes Development has announced plans to construct an AED50 million endowment building in Dubai to support the Fathers' Endowment campaign, initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The campaign aims to establish a sustainable endowment fund to provide healthcare and treatment for the less fortunate, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
According to Emirates News Agency, Peace Homes Development has pledged to develop the endowment building within the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives' (MBRGI) educational complex located at Dubai Academic City. The revenues generated from this building will aid the campaign's goals of enhancing healthcare in underserved communities, including the development of hospitals, provision of essential medical equipment and medications, and the upgrading of operating rooms.
Peace Homes Development's involvement is part of a broader community response to the campaign initiated by MBRGI. The campaign allows individuals to donate in honour of their fathers, promoting values such as compassion and solidarity. It aims to fortify the UAE's standing as a leader in charitable and humanitarian efforts while reinforcing the concept of charitable endowments.
Ahsan Rasheed, Founder and CEO of Peace Homes Development, stated that the Fathers' Endowment campaign offers new hope to underprivileged communities. By building and rehabilitating hospitals and supporting healthcare systems in underserved areas, the campaign provides sustainable healthcare access to vulnerable patients.
Rasheed emphasized that their contribution to the campaign aligns with their commitment to supporting the UAE's charity initiatives and MBRGI's humanitarian efforts. The campaign's ongoing work focuses on creating innovative solutions to challenges faced by vulnerable populations, particularly in providing sustainable healthcare and constructing modern medical facilities.
The Fathers' Endowment campaign continues to accept donations from institutions and individuals through various channels, including the campaign's website (Fathersfund.ae) and a dedicated call centre via toll-free number (800 4999). Donations can also be made via bank transfers to the campaign bank account with Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE020340003518492868201), SMS, the DubaiNow app, and Dubai's community contributions platform Jood (Jood.ae).
