Al hamriyah: Malav Shroff, President of the Asian Sailing Federation, attended the competitions on the third day of the Asian Youth Modern Sailing Cup. The event, which commenced last Wednesday, is set to conclude on December 30.
According to Emirates News Agency, the championship is being organised by Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club in collaboration with the UAE Sailing and Modern Rowing Federation, taking place at the Al Hamriyah International Sailing Centre. Shroff's visit was marked by a reception from Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Club's Board of Directors. Also present were Mohammed Abdullah Harib, Vice President of the UAE Sailing and Modern Rowing Federation, and Mohammed Al Obaidli, Secretary General of the Federation.
The President of the Asian Sailing Federation expressed his satisfaction with attending this continental event. He acknowledged the efforts of Al Hamriyah Club in organising the Asian Cup and highlighted the ideal competitive environment it provides to nurture young Asian sailing talents.
Mohammed Abdullah Harib stressed the significance of the UAE, particularly Al Hamriyah Club, in hosting such a continental event. He noted its role in enhancing the country's position in marine sports and in advancing the technical skills of the national team players.
