Dakar: Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal, welcomed Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, as part of the latter's official visit to Dakar.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan extended greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to President Faye. He conveyed their best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of Senegal's government and its people.
In reciprocation, President Faye sent his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, expressing his wishes for further progress and development of the UAE's government and citizens.
During their meeting, discussions centered on the bilateral relations between the UAE and Senegal. Both parties explored opportunities to boost cooperation in areas such as economy, trade and investment, renewable energy, food security, artificial intelligence, infrastructure, and logistic services.
Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan underscored the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between the UAE and Senegal, reiterating the UAE's commitment to working closely with Senegal to reinforce partnerships aimed at development and mutual interests.
Additionally, both leaders exchanged perspectives on various regional and international issues of mutual interest and emphasized the significance of continuous coordination and consultation between the two nations.
