Tashkent: Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, as part of an official visit from a UAE government delegation to Tashkent. The discussions focused on the strategic partnership in government modernization between the UAE and Uzbekistan, aiming to enhance cooperation and support sustainable development in both nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting highlighted the depth of bilateral relations, with President Mirziyoyev praising the rapid progress achieved across various sectors. He emphasized that the UAE-Uzbek partnership serves as a global model for government cooperation, aimed at improving quality of life and achieving comprehensive development. The President expressed a desire to further expand this partnership and strengthen its positive impact.
Al Gergawi remarked that the relationship between the UAE and Uzbekistan reflects the vision of their leaderships, which prioritize government efficiency and strategic partnerships to create a better future. He noted that the ongoing strategic partnership in government modernization has led to qualitative results, advanced indicators, and improved governance models through the exchange of expertise.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including Maryam Al Hammadi, Saeed Al Eter, Mohamed bin Taliah, and Saeed Matar Al Qemzi, alongside other representatives from both countries. This visit underscores the continued commitment of the UAE and Uzbekistan to their strategic partnership, which began in 2019 and covers ten key areas, such as government services, competitiveness, and digital transformation.
