Dubai: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a phone call today with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the enhancement of bilateral relations within their strategic partnership.
According to Emirates News Agency, President Putin expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for the UAE's successful mediation efforts in facilitating the largest prisoner exchange between Russia and Ukraine in April. The Russian leader praised the UAE's ongoing commitment to this humanitarian cause.
Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended his congratulations to President Putin on the 80th anniversary of Victory Day, celebrated on May 9, wishing the Russian Federation continued progress and prosperity.
