Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Sunday, up by 0.86 percent, adding 87.66 points, and rising to the level of 10296 points, backed by six sectors.
The Stock Exchange market attributed the increase in the general index to the positive performance of the insurance sector, which rose by 3.49 percent, the industrial sector by 1.84 percent, the real estate sector by 1.40 percent, the telecommunications sector by 1.28 percent, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.92 percent, and the banking and financial services sector by 0.61 percent. On the other hand, the performance was negative for transportation sector by 0.03 percent.
At 10:00 a.m. Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 78.311 million, distributed among 34.662 million shares, with implementation of 2971 transactions.
