QDA Launches Free Android, iOS App for Further Diabetes Care

Qatar Diabetes Association (QDA) launched Sunday a free Android and iOS app, a move seeking to facilitate diabetes patients' access to QDA's services.

QDA's Executive Director Dr. Abdullah Al Hamaq said that the app was designed in an innovative way that takes into account the quality standards that serve the patients and society in general, because of its many advantages, indicating that its issuance comes within the framework of the association's keenness to care for people with diabetes.

The App would make it possible to communicate with specialists, medical teams, and nutritionists for inquiries about QDA's fitness halls, as well as submitting volunteer applications for those wishing, he added.

For her part, Head of QDA's Health Education Department Dr. Amal Adam said that the App seeks to improve the continuity of care for people with diabetes, provide support for them and maintain continuous follow-up.

People with diabetes should enjoy a great deal of decision-making and problem-solving skills for a proper management of their conditions, in addition to the need for frequent communication and guidance from the medical teams, she added.
