Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today welcomed Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, along with Khalid Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority (FYA), and several members of youth councils from Ras Al Khaimah.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Saud was briefed on the 'Ghatareef' National Readiness Programme, a new initiative by the Federal Youth Authority. This programme is aimed at high school graduates, focusing on preparing them for various aspects of life including family, academics, and careers. It aims to instill knowledge, skills, and values that empower youth to make confident, well-informed decisions regarding their futures while contributing positively to the community and national sectors.
The programme spans 11 months and integrates theoretical learning, specialized training, and practical experience. It aims to reinforce national identity and social responsibility, aligning young people's skills with future demands and national development goals. Discussions with youth council members covered topics such as youth empowerment, capacity building, and increasing youth participation in national development to support the UAE's aspirations for sustainable growth.
H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasized that UAE youth are pivotal to the country's development and prosperity, highlighting that their capabilities and ambitions are crucial to the nation's vision for the future. He stated that the energy and creativity of the youth are invaluable resources that can transform ambitions into national successes.
He also highlighted the importance of investing in youth empowerment as a means of securing the nation's future and sustaining prosperity. Empowering youth involves not only preparing them for the future but also engaging them in shaping it, encouraging initiative, and fostering responsibility.
The Ruler praised the Federal Youth Authority's efforts in creating initiatives that prepare youth for future challenges and equip them with necessary skills and knowledge.
