Ras al khaimah: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) marked the groundbreaking of a new 5,839 m² warehousing facility by Indu, a logistics and warehouse solutions provider, at Al Hamra Industrial Zone.
According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony saw the presence of senior RAKEZ representatives, including Ian Hunt, Chief Experience Officer; Alia Rabbani, Key Accounts Director; and Mohamed Ismayil, Senior Manager - Key Accounts. Scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026, the project is a critical component of Indu's broader expansion strategy to evolve into a multi-industry-focused logistics provider. This move capitalizes on Ras Al Khaimah's economic growth and rising demand across key sectors. Kush Kishore Lakhani, Managing Director at Indu, emphasized their strategic investment approach, highlighting the support from RAKEZ in facilitating the project's execution.
Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of RAKEZ, noted that Indu's investment strengthens Ras Al Khaimah's role as a logistics and distribution hub in the Northern Emirates. With rising demand in FMCG, hospitality, and food supply chains, scalable warehousing infrastructure is essential. RAKEZ remains committed to providing the necessary support to investors for accelerating growth and delivering long-term value.
The development of this facility aligns with the sustained expansion in Ras Al Khaimah's tourism and hospitality sectors, enhancing the emirate's supply chain capabilities and industrial ecosystem.
