Dubai: Salik Company PJSC (Salik), the exclusive toll gate operator in Dubai, and Parkonic, a provider of smart parking solutions, have announced a groundbreaking partnership with Dubai Holding. This collaboration will introduce the region's first fully autonomous, AI-powered parking solution, both on-street and off-street, across various iconic communities in Dubai, encompassing over 36,000 parking spaces.
According to Emirates News Agency, this initiative aligns with Dubai's Smart City 2030 and Future Mobility Vision, offering a ticketless and barrier-free parking experience without the need for manual inspection. The system, powered by Parkonic's advanced AI and software, and enabled by Salik's seamless payment solution, ensures a frictionless exit, providing a zero-interaction customer experience.
The integration of Parkonic and Salik's systems facilitates ease of movement and eliminates the common causes of fines due to overstays, representing a significant advancement in Dubai's connected mobility infrastructure. Residents and visitors in these communities will be among the first to experience the benefits of the smart parking infrastructure, which promises improved mobility, efficiency, and accessibility.
