Delhi: Sanad, a global leader in aerospace engineering and leasing solutions under Mubadala Investment Company PJSC, has finalised a major deal with AerCap Materials, the materials division of AerCap, the world's largest aviation leasing company. The agreement, signed during the IATA Annual General Meeting in Delhi, is valued at over AED400 million (US$110 million) and represents a significant leap in aviation asset management.
According to Emirates News Agency, this transaction aims to boost component availability, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen supply chain resilience. The deal covers more than 6,000 high-demand components across various lessees and aircraft platforms, including major models from Airbus, Boeing, and Embraer's E-Jet series. The portfolio comprises both on-lease and off-lease components, setting a new benchmark for agile and efficient asset management practices.
With ongoing global supply chain constraints, the agreement ensures airlines have prompt access to essential components, thereby supporting fleet reliability and business continuity. This initiative further supports AerCap Materials' efforts to expand its aftermarket services while allowing Sanad to streamline its portfolio and concentrate on strategic growth.

By integrating Sanad's inventory, AerCap Materials enhances its global parts offering, reinforcing its status as a reliable partner for commercial operators. Aengus Kelly, Chief Executive of AerCap, highlighted the benefits of the acquisition, saying, "This acquisition strengthens our inventory and responsiveness, especially at a time of continued supply chain challenges.
