Ras al khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended a reception to commemorate the 204th anniversary of the independence of Central American countries. The event was hosted by the Ambassadors of Costa Rica, El Salvador, and Guatemala to the UAE at the InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah.
According to Emirates News Agency, the reception saw the participation of Francisco J. Chac³n Hern¡ndez, Ambassador of Costa Rica to the UAE, Gerardo P©rez Figueroa, Ambassador of El Salvador to the UAE, and Jorge Rafael Ruiz, Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala to the UAE. Also present were Omar Obaid Alhesan Alshamsi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with senior officials and dignitaries.
Sheikh Saud highlighted the strong relations between the UAE and Central American countries, emphasizing mutual respect and collaborative efforts as the foundation of these ties. He noted that these relations foster common goals, enhance mutual interests, and contribute to progress and prosperity.
H.H. Sheikh Saud further reiterated Ras Al Khaimah's commitment to strengthening relations with Central American nations through increased economic cooperation, support for sustainable development, and the exploration of new partnership opportunities.
In his address, Sheikh Saud remarked that the occasion allowed for a celebration of the history and values that define the identity and leadership of the Central American countries, which remain aligned with the principles upheld by the UAE.
The ambassadors expressed their appreciation for the depth of relations with the UAE, commending its leadership's role in promoting development. They expressed their determination to bolster cooperation in various fields and thanked Sheikh Saud for his hospitality, praising Ras Al Khaimah's achievements in economic, cultural, and urban development.
