Saud bin Saqr Attends UAE-India Partnership Business Meet

Ras Al Khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the 'UAE-India: Partnership for enduring prosperity-Business meet', held at the Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah. The event saw the participation of Uday Samant, Cabinet Minister for Industries and Marathi Language, Government of Maharashtra; Satish Kumar Sivan, Consul-General of India to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, alongside numerous businessmen and representatives from major companies.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Saud addressed the gathering, emphasizing the strong, foundational relations between the UAE and India, built on mutual understanding and respect. He highlighted the shared vision of achieving prosperity across various sectors. "We in Ras Al Khaimah recognize the immense potential that can be realized through enhancing our cooperation with India," he stated, expressing confidence that partnerships with Indian companies would lead to greater success, more job opportunities, and expanded trade and investment horizons.

Sheikh Saud further asserted the anticipated strengthening of Ras Al Khaimah and India relations in the coming years. He noted the joint efforts and opportunities available to build new paths to success, drive innovation, and create a future aligned with their aspirations.

During the event, Sheikh Saud witnessed the signing of two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones (RAKEZ) and the Federation of Indian Industry and the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC). The first MoU aims to support the growth of Indian companies in Ras Al Khaimah by offering tailored services, hosting events, and providing dedicated workspaces. The second MoU focuses on stimulating trade and strengthening ties between Ras Al Khaimah and Maharashtra through facilitating the business environment and implementing joint projects.

The forum concluded with the announcement of the "Global Maharashtra Business Forum" in Ras Al Khaimah. This platform is intended to bring together entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and key government decision-makers to collaborate and explore business opportunities. It aims to foster dialogue on developing bilateral relations and strategic partnerships between the UAE and India, with a particular focus on Ras Al Khaimah, thereby strengthening business ties and contributing to sustainable development and mutual prosperity.
