Ras al khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, attended the world premiere of the Finnish musical "The Blue Bird". The event was organized by the Embassy of Finland and featured a performance by the Lohja City Orchestra with participating musicians. The premiere took place at Al Jazirah Al Hamra Heritage Village and was attended by Tuula Yrj¶l¤, Ambassador of Finland, along with senior officials.
According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Saud emphasized the role of music as a universal language that unites people and promotes cultural understanding. He noted Ras Al Khaimah's dedication to hosting events that encourage intercultural dialogue and enrich the emirate's cultural landscape.
He commended the performers for their expressive classical pieces, which showcased the richness of Finnish musical tradition. The evening offered a multidisciplinary artistic experience by combining music, literature, visual arts, and storytelling inspired by Finnish heritage. It presented themes of hope, friendship, and tolerance within a unique heritage setting.
