Ras Al Khaimah: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasized the significance of hosting the Ras Al Khaimah Art Festival as a reflection of the emirate's vision to enhance its cultural and artistic landscape and establish itself as a global hub for creativity and the arts. Sheikh Saud made this statement while inaugurating the 13th edition of the festival at the historic Al Jazirah Al Hamra Heritage Village.
According to Emirates News Agency, the festival, organized by the Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi Foundation for Policy Research, carries the theme 'Memory' and is set to run until February 28. It features the work of more than 100 local and international artists. The inauguration was attended by prominent figures such as Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture; Martina Strong, Ambassador of the United States to the UAE; and Edward Hobart, British Ambassador to the UAE, along with other senior officials.
Sheikh Saud highlighted the festival's role in embodying the emirate's historical and cultural heritage. He noted that the event celebrates creativity and art, supporting various art forms that showcase the richness of cultures and values worldwide. Sheikh Saud stated that supporting emerging talent and nurturing artistic potential among Emiratis and the local community is a priority for Ras Al Khaimah.
