Abu dhabi: Saudi Ministry of Defence announced today that it intercepted and destroyed 27 drones launched towards the country. Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Turki Al-Malki, as saying that 26 drones were intercepted and destroyed in the Eastern Region and another one in Al Jouf area.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Ministry of Defense emphasized that these efforts are part of ongoing measures to protect the country’s sovereignty and ensure the safety of its citizens. The interception operations were carried out successfully, preventing any potential threats or damages.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to safeguarding Saudi airspace and highlighted the capabilities of its defense systems in addressing such challenges. The authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and remain vigilant against any further attempts to breach the country’s security.
