SCCI and Kalba Municipality Collaborate to Launch Economic Event


Kalba: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Kalba Branch, has joined forces with Kalba Municipality to organize a new community-based economic initiative aimed at boosting local production, empowering families, and establishing Kalba as a key economic and tourism hub.



According to Emirates News Agency, a recent coordination meeting was held at Kalba Municipality’s headquarters to discuss the organizational framework of this initiative. The event is set to engage entrepreneurs, productive families, and farmers, offering them a platform to showcase their products to visitors and consumers, thereby stimulating local economic activity and establishing sustainable marketing channels.



The meeting was attended by key figures, including Khalil Mohammed Al Mansouri, Director of Government Relations at SCCI’s Communication and Business Sector; Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality; Ali Mohammed Al Kindi, Director of the SCCI branch in Kalba; and Mohamed Ahmed Al Darmaki, Director of the SCCI Branch in KhorFakkan. Senior representatives from both Kalba Municipality and the Sharjah Chamber offices in Kalba and Khorfakkan were also present.



Khalil Mohammed Al Mansouri highlighted that this collaboration aligns with the Sharjah Chamber’s ongoing efforts to enhance economic activity in the Eastern Region and bolster the private sector’s role in supporting local development initiatives. He noted that the event would serve as a strategic platform for showcasing Kalba’s economic and tourism assets, with the Chamber ready to provide logistical and operational support for its success.



Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Mazrouei affirmed Kalba Municipality’s support for the partnership and its commitment to facilitating the necessary operational and logistical aspects for the initiative’s execution. He emphasized Kalba’s position as a distinguished economic and tourism destination, supported by infrastructure investments and cross-government collaboration.



The meeting also addressed key organizational and technical aspects, including venue capacity, infrastructure readiness, and optimal timing within the emirate’s annual events calendar. Kalba Municipality presented a comprehensive roadmap to ensure regulatory compliance and logistical arrangements for the event’s success.



The collaboration aims to deliver the event within this year, focusing on stimulating local economic activity through empowering productive families and entrepreneurs, while enhancing Kalba’s competitiveness as an economic and tourism destination.
